Planning for Life, Inc. focuses primarily on five main services. Since we put al of our focus on the follwing, we consider ourselves specialists in these services.
Our staffed residences are cheerful homes in friendly neighborhoods where up to three mentally or physically challenged friends live together. Whenever the residences are in their home, there is a staff member there to assist them with any of their needs.
We support our clients to participate in events in the community throughout the year. We encourage each resident to be involved in activities individually, as well as with their housemates. Our clients enjoy a variety of outings including bowling, religious services, going to restaurants and shopping. We support their communication and visits with family and friends as much as possible.
Staff members at Planning for Life, Inc. are well trained within out company on the proper care of each individual client. While motivating the residents to be independent, the staff members are attentive to the personal interests or each client and how they enjoy spending their time.
Clients that prefer living in a family environment can live with a Family Home Provider. In this case, individuals move into the home of a trained caretaker and become a family member of the household.
Clients living with Family Home Providers are also encouraged to participate in activities in the community. They are supported to live as independently as possible, contributing to the home as a family member.
Planning for Life, Inc. provides respite services. Respite care allows primary caregivers a break from daily responsibilities. It is short-term relief for caregivers of individuals that are not able to care for themselves on a daily basis.
Community Living Supports or CLS is one on one support for disabled individuals to participate in the community. CLS not only provides a caregiver to assist with community outings, while also providing assistance with planning and preparation of outings. CLS services can include personal hygiene, assistance with activities or daily living, medication administration, household maintenance and other tasks that allow individuals to have the opportunity to participate in events outside of the home.
